JERSEY BEARCATS ANNOUNCE DAVID ROSS AS FIRST SIGNING FOR 2027 SEASON

The Jersey Bearcats have officially made their first signing for the 2027 season, welcoming running back David Ross back to the organization where his arena football journey began.

A native of Hawley, Pennsylvania, Ross played collegiately at Western Connecticut State University before making the transition to the arena game.

Ross entered arena football in 2024, joining the Jersey Bearcats during their AAL2 campaign. It was his first season in the indoor game and the beginning of a journey that would soon take him to the national arena football stage.

Following his season with the Bearcats, Ross signed with the Carolina Cobras for the 2025 season. Midway through the year, he made the move to the Omaha Beef, where he continued his professional career in the NAL.

Ross returned to Omaha for a second season in 2026, gaining another year of professional arena football experience before making the decision to bring his career back to where it all started.

Now, Ross is officially coming home.

For the 2027 season, he will once again put on a Jersey Bearcats uniform — this time returning as a more experienced player after multiple seasons competing at the professional arena level.

His signing marks the first official player addition as the Bearcats begin building their 2027 roster.

For Ross, the move represents a full-circle moment: from beginning his arena football career with the Jersey Bearcats in 2024, to competing with the Cobras and Beef, and now returning home for the next chapter.

David Ross is back where it all began.

And for the Jersey Bearcats, the road to 2027 has officially started.
